Are the courts locked?
No, the courts are never locked and you are welcome to play between 9am and 10pm 365 days a year.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can play?
No, you can play as many times as you want.
Are there spectator facilities?
Yes, spectators are always welcome.
Can I play after 10pm?
No, out of consideration for the neighbouring residents, all play must end at 10.00 p.m. although you can still use the clubhouse after you’ve finished playing. The floodlights are pre-programmed to switch off automatically at 10.00 p.m. Team captains are asked to ensure that all match play is also completed by 10.00 pm.
Is there a club house?
Yes, we have a clubhouse with toilets and changing facilities, together with a lounge area and a small kitchen.
Is there a good social side to the Club?
Yes, there is a large variety of off-court activities available for all ages throughout the year. For further details please see the section on the website devoted to Social Events.
I don't want to pay my subscription online, can I pay by cheque?
It is much easier for us as a club if you use the online forms and payment platform when joining. We do however appreciate that this may not always be possible. Please send a cheque payable to DALTC for the relevant amount to our Membership Secretary.
Is there always a court available?
Although we cannot guarantee that there will always be a free court when you arrive at the Club, with 6 all weather courts and 3 grass courts this is nevertheless often the case. Much will depend on the time of day and the day of the week. At peak times (6 p.m to 8.30 p.m weekdays) you may have to wait a short while until a previous four have finished their set but you'll always get a game.
For scheduled court usage we have a large 'Court allocation' board outside the clubhouse. This covers coaching, matches and other pre-booked usage.
Can I hire or borrow a racquet ?
No, we do not hire or loan rackets, however if our Head Coach is at the venue, you can borrow one during your visit. Balls are available to purchase from the Club Treasurer.
Is there car parking at the club?
Yes, there is a large car park free to all members when using the Club's facilities.
Can I get coaching?
Yes, we have excellent coaching available for both adult and junior members. Visit our Coaching page on the website for details.
Can I join one of the teams?
This will depend to some extent on your standard. We have over 20 junior, adult and senior teams. If you've played team tennis previously, then we would be interested in you attending practice sessions and social play sessions to establish where you would fit in for the club's teams.
Can I bring my dog?
No, for Health and Safety reasons we have a "strictly no dogs allowed" policy at the club.
Do you do a monthly membership?
No, we do not offer a monthly membership.
Do you have Floodlights?
DALTC has 6 floodlit all weather courts enabling evening play throughout the year until 10.00pm daily.
Floodlights are operated via a switch panel in the club house.
This facility is free to all members however in the spirit of being 'considerate' neighbours, as we are within a residential area the floodlights will switch off at 10pm.
How much does it cost to be a member at the club?
This will depend on your age and, perhaps, other factors too. A full adult membership is £200.00 per year, with Junior /mini membership starting from £20 per year.. A whole family (including up to 4 children under the age of 18) can join for just £400.00.

Data Protection for members
What personal information does the club hold for members and why?
When you join our club and complete your details we retain the information for the purposes of processing memberships and circulating emails to inform our membership of the Annual General Meeting and any club events.

Can I play if I am not a member?
You may play as a non member paying a visitors fee of £10.00 per visit per hour for Adults. max of 2 visits and £2 for Juniors. After which you are encouraged to become a member.

Are there any rules on clothing and footwear?
You must wear appropriate tennis footwear. While there are no formal rules on clothing, it is expected that members and visitors will wear appropriate tennis attire.
Are there any tournaments at the club?
We have regular tournaments for all ages and abilities throughout the year, culminating in the annual club championship tournament in September.
