Regional LTA Awards 2022

12th February 2022 saw the Annual (albeit with the exception of COVID in previous years) LTA Regional Tennis Awards

Durham Archery swept up a few awards:

Mike Eggleston -Highly Recommended for his involvement in County Tennis and a Special award of Regional County Colours

Christine Heppell - for being part of the Durham & Cleveland ladies team who achieved runners up in the National tournament

Christine also won a very special award- rarely given - for her services to local tennis and for her service as regional secretary support to the County. She received the Regional Colours Award.

Alison Gilby - Special Recognition Award for services as a volunteer - Club Secretary 

The evening was held at Silksworth Indoor Tennis Centre -home to the County Office and celebrated a range of awards for our younger players as well as promoting Inclusion for tennis, Coach awards and National Volunteers - won by Mr Ascencio from Hartlepool tennis club.

Our young achievers were also rewarded Tom,Lottie -see our Social Media pages.

I'm sure there are many of our volunteers at the club who are deserving of nominations in the future for their services to the Club -so watch this space for next year's nominations and show your appreciation by voting.
